BreakBeatBuddha has been producing and DJing for well over 15 years. Although hip hop was his first love, it was the early warehouse raves and acid house scene that drove him into the studio to start creating sounds. It wasn't long before he was playing throughout the UK for crowds in London, Brighton and Manchester, with the likes of The Capoeira Twins (Hope Records), as well as embarking on collaborative works with Left Coast Breaks guru, Bassnectar (Om Records).

Since his relocation from the UK to San Francisco, BreakBeatBuddha has found both home and inspiration within the thriving Burning Man Community. He tours regularly throughout North America, serving up a devious, bass-heavy blend of Breaks and glitched-out, Dancehall vibes for the Headz. In studio, 3B has set out to create a notorious body of remix and collaborative work, featuring artists KRS 1, Bassnectar, Busta Rhymes, Mala Rodriguez and Beenie Man.

The release of BreakBeatBuddha's debut album “MIND BOMBIN” (True Movement Recordings) truly cast his presence out onto the international stage. “MIND BOMBIN” was 3B's musical manifesto, combining extensive DJ experience with scathing social critique to successfully inject a bit of awareness into a scene traditionally apathetic to the bigger issues of the day. His latest musical offering, THE NEW RESISTANCE EP (True Movement Recordings), features a Dubstep stomper, HOODLUM, and THE WRECKA TRACK, a collaborative work with Colorado based Glitch-Hop producer, Jantsen.

2008 sees 3B touring throughout North America and Europe, releasing tracks alongside DJ Spooky, Talvin Singh, Transglobal Underground, Kraddy and SOTEG as well a number of solo projects, including the release of his EP, The New Resistance, and another full-length album on its way. Expect big things. 3B is now a regular feature on the NA gig circuit, playing to thousands across the US and Canada regularly. His signature sound is recognized internationally as an anthem to Cultural Resisters everywhere.

The Movement ...

BreakBeatBuddha's approach to music is unique, as he has a clear understanding of its potential to activate and raise awareness to the many, pressing social causes of our times. He sees the role of the underground musical scene as providing a valuable grounds for authentic creative expressions of self, so important in today's world of corporate-controlled media. It is in this light that the role of artist, DJ, and music producer is re-invigorated as "meta-activist". The frontline is not geographical, but rather conceptual; fought not with bombs and bullets, but with beats, rhymes and basslines, in an effort to inspire the hearts and minds of a scattered populace.
